Taking to Twitter, Zaira responded to a post shared by a netizen. The post featured a photograph of a woman eating food with her hand, her face covered by a niqab. The caption questioned whether this was a choice made by the woman.

Zaira Wasim, in her reply, mentioned that she had attended a wedding where she ate in the same manner. She asserted that it is entirely an individual's choice and recounted how people around her had repeatedly urged her to remove her niqab. However, she chose to adhere to her own decision and expressed, "We don't do it for you. Deal with it."
